How Flight Repricing Works
How Flight Repricing Works
Once you’ve booked your trip, our AI tracks price drops 24/7 for your flights and hotels. If prices go down, we handle everything to get you the savings you deserve. Here’s how it works:

Step 1
We Monitor Your Ticket for Price Drops
After you forward us your reservation, Ascend continuously tracks its price. If we detect a price drop and your ticket qualifies under the airline’s policies, we’ll alert you immediately.
Note that all tickets are created equal. Depending on the type of ticket you purchased, repricing might result in a cash refund or airline credit. Here’s a quick breakdown:
• Refundable Tickets: You’ll receive your refund back to the original form of payment.
• Non-refundable Tickets: Some airlines offer credits or vouchers instead, which can be used for future travel.
• Unsupported Tickets: Unfortunately, tickets purchased with points or miles aren’t eligible for repricing.
Airlines Supported
Ascend currently supports flights booked with major U.S. carriers, including:
American Airlines
Alaska Airlines
United
Delta
Southwest.
Support for more airlines is coming soon.
Step 2
We Notify You About Potential Savings
When a price drop occurs, we’ll send you a notification with the details, including the estimated refund or credit amount. At this stage, you decide if you want to move forward.
Step 3
You Confirm the Repricing Request
Once you approve the repricing request, we submit it directly to the airline on your behalf.
Airfare prices fluctuate rapidly, and refunds are time-sensitive. The final refund might be slightly more or less than estimated due to these real-time changes.
Step 4
Airline Processes the Change
The airline reviews the repricing request and determines the refund or credit according to their policy. The type of refund you receive depends on your ticket type and airline policies:
• Cash Refunds: For refundable tickets, the refund is typically sent back to your original payment method.
• Airline Credits: For non-refundable tickets, airlines may issue travel credits or vouchers. These credits are added to your airline account and can be used toward future travel.
Step 5
You Receive Updates from the Airline
After the repricing request is processed, the airline will contact you directly with details about any changes to your booking, as well as the refund or credit issued. Ascend does not mediate this communication; we ensure the request is submitted accurately and efficiently.
