How Hotel Repricing Works

How Hotel Repricing Works

Once you’ve booked your trip, our AI tracks price drops 24/7 for your flights and hotels. If prices go down, we handle everything to get you the savings you deserve. Here’s how it works:

Step 1

We Monitor Your Booking for Better Deals

After you forward us your hotel reservation, Ascend tracks prices for the same room type across multiple platforms. Using our access to private rates and price-tracking technology, we look for opportunities to save you money.

Step 2

We Notify You About Potential Savings

If we find a lower price for a room that matches your existing booking—same hotel, room type, amenities, and cancellation policy—we’ll send you a notification with the details.

Please note that:

  • Non-refundable Reservations Aren’t Eligible: Bookings with non-refundable rates or those made using hotel loyalty points typically cannot be repriced because they cannot be canceled or modified.

  • Savings Depend on Timing: Repricing works best when your reservation includes a flexible cancellation policy and sufficient time before check-in.

Step 3

We Confirm the New Booking

We the new reservation directly through Ascend. This ensures you’re in control of the process every step of the way, and can modify or cancel the new booking easily.

Step 4

You Cancel Your Original Reservation

After your new booking is confirmed, you’ll need to cancel your original reservation. Don’t worry—we’ll provide guidance to ensure it’s done correctly and within the cancellation window to avoid penalties.

Step 5

Your Refund is Processed

Any refunds or reimbursements from your original booking will be issued directly by your original booking provider, in line with their policies.
